Frothy Ocean Waves

Frothy whitecaps lap the shore of Peru's Pacific coast. They inspire this elegant bracelet by Eda Arroyo. Working in the filigree technique she learned in Catacaos, the artist links intricate and sinuous spirals. Pre-Hispanic Andean peoples considered the spiral to be a magical symbol.
