Poised and dressed to the nines, Catrina personifies death with whimsical elegance. As always, she wears a wide-brimmed hat. Artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association are inspired by the celebrated cartoon developed by José Guadalupe Posadas to poke fun at Mexico's high society during the early 1900's. Revealing Catrina's skeletal figure, the Oaxacan clay sculpture is painted by hand.

Angel Ceron has added an amazing amount of detail to these dolls. I have 4 of his Day of the Dead dolls and I will be buying more as they are truly works of art!!!!

Angel Ceron does awesome work. I love my Day of the Dead girls I have 5 of them. My daughter and I fell in love with when we were in Mexico. I had to buy some when I got home.
