Talavera Guadalupe in Green

Known as the Virgin of Guadalupe, this depiction of mother Mary from the Bible depicts the celestial virgin with her hands held together in prayer as she wears a starry gown, framed by green and orange. Mexican artisan Juana Ponce creates this reverent wall sculpture, which is crafted from ceramic and painted by hand with colorful pigments in the style of Talavera handicrafts.
