The foot pedal loom has been one of the most important contributions of the first Spanish artisans who arrived in Guatemala after the conquest. Now, Antigua-based artisan Eladio has inherited the art of the pedal loom from his father, and is committed to teaching young people in the community how to carry on the legacy. For this table set Eladio is inspired by Easter flowers, and weaves a rich red thread with white, yellow and green flower accents to finish this luxurious tablecloth and matching napkins.
