Abdul Aziz Mohamadu joins Ghana's Ga-mashie people in celebration of their Homowo festival. The name is Ga in origin and means 'hooting at hunger.' To this end Mohamadu hand-carves the sculpture of an amulie (sweet fish), a staple in the Ghanaian diet. He decorates the African rubberwood sculpture with glistening beads and brass accents.
