Representing an effort to provide a bigger platform for local artisans, Guatemala's Women United for Artisan Development presents this characteristic sling handbag. The women artisans hand-weave the bag of cotton on the traditional telar de cintura and telar de pie looms, adding multicolored geometric designs over its black body. The bag drapes over the shoulder on a single strap, and opens with a zipper to a lined interior in black.
