Teotihuacan Eclipse

Artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association depict a priest from the ancient city of Teotihuacan. It was the priest's responsibility to assist the sun's survival through sacrifices and ritual. The Mexican artisans work in yellow clay from Oaxaca, colored with mineral tints.
