L Birds of Armenia

First used as ornaments for sacred Christian texts, the Armenian Bird Letter is a medieval art that now embellishes thousands of regional artworks. This splendid calligraphy draws inspiration from nature, featuring birds and leafy motifs in the shape of each letter of the Armenian alphabet. As a way to spread the glorious essence of this ancient art, artisan Karno Davoudian uses 18k gold-plated sterling silver to create this adorable pendant, with a bird representing the Armenian letter “L,” all in a palette of red, blue, green and orange hues for a gracious style.
