Roberto Salvato

"Hi my name is Roberto and I was born in Rome on January 26, 1954. When I was a little boy I loved putting on plays and acting in the theater. I did it for fun and I enjoyed it, which is why I studied cinema and photography. <br><br> "I also learned about making jewelry during that time, which was to become part of the props in my plays. My jewelry designs are based on my theater plays. <br><br> "In 1976, I decided to leave Europe so I came to Mexico and I was able to pursue my theatrical interests with a Mexican theater company. Mexico is ever present in my theater plays and in my jewelry designs. <br><br> "I like living in Mexico because it is an interesting place were new things are always happening. I admire Mexican artistry. There are many artists and artisans who work with a free spirit that reaches the soul. <br><br> "I work with a group of people who help me, but I consider that the relationship we've got goes beyond work. My dreams for the future include to continue my work as a jewelry designer, and to be able to open a performing arts school so I can transmit what I have learned. <br><br> "My designs are happy, and they are intended to bring happiness. <i>Grazie!</i>"
