Sanahin's Khachkar

Famous since medieval Armenia, khachkars have survived the passage of time, displaying the nation's strong faith and exquisite arts. Made from tuff stone, this classic stela sculpture is also part of the traditional khachkar style, which adds a glorious vibe to the intricate details forming the piece. Artisan Miqayel Nalbandyan handcrafts the artwork using classic techniques, taking inspiration from the Sanahin Monastery and its splendorous cross carvings.
