Kashmir Glory

The high mountains of Kashmir and its longtime tradition of weaving provide the inspiration for this rectangular kani shawl. Shahid weaves it by hand of cozy wool, creating the weft patterns with bobbins of colorful wool — as many as 75 to 100 at a time — rather than the traditional shuttles.
