Horseman

Christopher Nyasafo of Ghana designs this sculpture of a horseman handcrafted from sese wood in a pose artisans often use in the region to denote a leader or warrior. Painted brown with cream accents from clay and a rustic finish, the man and horse have elongated and angular features. The man clutches the horse's reins, made of black polypropylene cord, and gazes confidently ahead. This sculpture of poise and strength would make a striking addition to an office or living room.
